Malagone is a small hydro project located in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The project feeds the National Interconnected Grid System with renewable sources of electricity, helping to meet the growing demand of energy in Brazil.

The main goal of the project is to feed the National Interconnected Grid System, compensating thermal power generation from fossil fuels with the generation of renewable sources of energy. Moreover, the project contributes to meet environmental sustainability by increasing the share of renewable energy in relation to the total electricity consumption in Brazil.
